We are heading back, but not until February. We kept holding out waiting for Club Orient, but that isn't happening. We were looking at AirB&B's near the beach at Orient as well as thinking about Residence Adam & Eve. What finally helped us decide was finding out another couple from our nudist resort were going to A&E a week later than we were originally looking to go, so we pushed our plans back a week and are joining them there. A hike down to the beach, but we will have a nude pool available evenings and a car for at least part of our stay to go to Maho Beach one day and Grand Case/Marigot for dinner.

Even back in 2018 when we stopped for the day on a cruise the island was back welcoming tourists. Only Club O has been slow to rebuild.

Good Evening, Thank You for your quick reply. I was thinking of going there for New Years Eve. Some of the best NYE's were at Papaguyos and sitting on the beach at midnight. I was considering going to the island for NYE. I enjoyed the low key atmosphere. I look forward to a "trip report" so I can plan another trip to SXM. I hope you have a Good Time and "Bonne Annee.

We had a great time at Residence Adam & Eve and at the Club O section of Orient Beach. The Perch doesn't need to be called "lite" anymore. Their menu is now more extensive than pre-Irma and now that they have power... frozen drinks are back! $9/9€ for frozen or mixed drinks, $2/2€ for water and soda, somewhere in between for wine and beer. Cash only. The walk is a little long from A&E (~10 minutes to Yellow Sub and then ~15 minutes to the Perch), but there was one unintended consequence of not staying at Club O: we actually got to explore the Orient Village area and find some good restaurants and stores. Before Irma we were always too lazy to get dressed and ate almost every dinner at Papagayo.

We walked through Club O and found our old Mini Suite (#156). In 2018 it was missing a back wall but was still standing. Now it is totally collapsed and completely overgrown.
