Getting around SXM

Will arrive via cruise ship Carnival Freedom around Oct. 12th. Asking for the cruise web page...
Will we be able to get a taxi from the cruise terminal & travel to Orient Beach as per years ago?
(i.e. are taxis allowed to operate,, will we be able to cross into the French side?,, etc..)
any restrictions we should be aware of? I would assume masks would be required in the taxi,,,

I sent a FB Message to Cedrick. He indicated that taxis are currently operating from cruise center & that the border is open. At present there are no constraints to visiting Orient Beach from cruise center.
