We are in the same situation. We love CO and our visits are always the hi-lite of our year. But, it will take a long time to rebuild. I have already promised my better half a nude vacation next year but can't find any place like CO. One thing is for sure; as soon as CO reopens we will be on our way. We will make sure we give CO our business to help insure its continued success.
Attached is a link to some alternative options for clothing optional resorts/ recreation while we await our beloved Club O - Part 3 - to rebuild. The article was updated on September 7th so is fairly up to date (with the obvious exception of the listing for Club O). We may take a trip to Hedonism in 2018 as we have never been as we could never contemplate giving up our twice-annual trips to SXM/ Club Orient prior to last week.

Somehow, resorts with names that include "desire" and "temptation" have too much of an "ick" factor for us to even consider. That's why we liked Club O so much.

Agreed! In 1991 my wife and I chose between Club O and Sorobon, we chose Club O and never looked back. I see Sorobon was on the link posted above. I going to have to look closer at Sorobon, I was under the impression that it went textile. We would love to try Sorobon, it's more our speed. For the time being I need to get back to work. I'll post what I find out.

My wife & I went to Sorobon back in the 90's & it was very nice, a nice quiet place to relax. That was back when we were still working. Several years after we were there, I believe it was sold & it went textile. I do not think it is on AANR's list anymore as a nude vacation spot.

Also agree.

We were booked for June. That won't happen now, and probably not the next year (2019) as well. Have no idea what we will do. I am worried now that they won't rebuild at all.
I figured they would certainly rebuild, then I saw the mention of legal issues. I hope it goes well.
We are in the same boat! Thinking about trying http://www.payabay.com/resort-roatan/leisure-activities/naturism/?tab=nude_top_ten
But as soon as Club O is open, we will be back!
We are not into the lifestyle friendly places like Hedo.
We were supposed to be there this week (Sept 9-16) to celebrate our anniversary. Married to the same woman for 39 years! Anyway, this was to also be our 1st venture to exploring clothing optional experience. I am glad that you posted that you're not into the swinging lifestyle because that has been something that I want to avoid as well. I have no desire for that lifestyle. We have been to SXM on cruises before and really fell in love with island which is why we were going to stay there for a week. My wife said she was ready to let loose her inhibitions, not worry about what others thought of her body and enjoy the adventure. I would really hope that others on this board can recommed other places that are similar (obviously nothing will be like SXM) until such time as we can get back there. Hoping the rebuild occurs quickly because let's face it, we're not getting any younger, I'm 60 and my beautiful bride is 64. I will definitely review the link that was posted
Sorobon is no longer clothing optional. It used to be up until 2010.
Good to know about Sorobon. Paya Bay website looks like a real nice alternative.
Sorry to say. That Sorobon went textile several years. My wife and I went several times over the years. It was a very nice place . Paya Bay is nice but way down south and a long ride from the airport.
Also, not into the lifestyle option either.
Not the same by any means bur Haulover Beach in FL is a nice public park with a very nice and developed clothing optional section. Also Playalinda near Titusville FL is a nice area but is not a developed beach so you have to bring everything with you. Part of the canaveral National Seashore.
