Tree Lizard

Another one down and we cant wait to get back! Each year, we leave something to find when we return. This year, we tied a small lizard (plastic) to the palm closest to the Perch! For anyone lucky enough to be THERE, rather than HERE...please let us know if that thing is still hanging on!

We'll check on him the first week in June and report back.
Thanks Christa! We are finding that one visit a year just isn't cutting it anymore! Missing the beach! Enjoy!
Reporting back. The news is not good. It appears he has slipped his leash and is now back in the wild. Couldn't find him anywhere around the tree. Will check again in a day or so to see if he has maybe come back to the Perch for more cheeseburgers. When we checked yesterday afternoon and again this morning, the Perch was closed.
Ahhh! Very disappointing to hear. I wonder if he escaped up the beach to Perdros? We had him tied up pretty tightly in mid April. He was directly visible from the deck of the Perch. I wonder if he just slipped down behind the husks of the tree due to the recent rain? In the meantime, please enjoy some sun and sand for us!
Has anyone else noticed that EVERYONE just became a Big Kahuna:-)
I didn't notice that, but I did notice a week or so back that I had jumped in the number of posts I thought I had, maybe 4 or 5 hundred to 1200 +. I think I have been a Big Kahuna for a long time now as I have been a member since the beginning of the board.

We searched for him several more times, even looking down into the husks of the tree. No lizard.

Just noticed my post count again; it is now up to over 1900+ from 1200+ a week or so back.
Very disappointed to hear of his disappearance. When we return next spring, we will be bringing his replacement, along with a better leash. As I think about it, I cant imagine a better place to be tied up:-)...so have to believe that there are criminal elements involved in his disappearance. Thanks for the effort, and hope it was in conjunction with a happy hour visit! Enjoy the sun and sand for us! As for posts...yes...we're up well beyond a number that we'd have had the time to produce!:-) Enjoy!
We've looked several times, and have had as many as 10 eyes giving the tree the once over... no luck. The legendary tree lizard is apparently no more!

Well...I guess we'll just have to come back again this year to tie up his replacement! Enjoy the sun and sand for us!
The tree lizard shall return!
When will he return? Hope he is up before June.

But his tree is gone, where will he reside?

Life's a beach!
If I remember correctly there are some trees behind the Perch Lite in the parking area.

Trying to figure out where to stay! We are most definitely feeling some Orient Beach withdrawals.
