Good plan to stay at Club O. It is much easier that way. For the first year or so, we stayed elsewhere but spent most of our time at Club O. Then we decided that was silly and finally got the nerve to book Club O. Haven't looked back.

You're in for a treat, Heather. If you like the beach at Club O, you'll love staying there. We also, after many days on their beach, decided we would just once try staying there, and got hooked. Instead of packing the car, schlepping everything to the beach and back, trying to find chairs, you just walk to the beach & your reserved chairs. The entire staff couldn't be nicer.[tup]

This is difficult to describe. Don't over pack. It is very easy to leave your clothes in your suitcase and enjoy the resort without them. If you intend to eat in, you might wish to bring your own coffee if you are particular about having your taste with you. Enjoy your coffee on your patio. (Ps you can buy coffee there as well.) Bring pleanty of sun screen. The staff is great. You will have a good time.

Unless you want to explore other parts of the island, just pack a change of clothes for the return trip and a G-String in case you want to explore the beach and/or have lunch beyond Pedro's!

For the two years we were day trippers, we stayed close to the Perch as well. Then when we started staying at Club O, we found that the location of our unit dictated where on the beach we claimed our chairs. Now it is much closer to Papagayos than to the Perch.

We will be there from June 16th till the 30th not staying at Club of but staying on orient we have been going to sxm for 20 yrs we love it

We are also there on crossing dates. Does anyone know what the $$ cab ride is from the airport

Just got back home Friday. We paid $45 from the airport to Club O and $35 for the return, plus tips. Our driver was pre-arranged.
