beach walks

the oldest question on this site, any problems with the morning beach walks[penguin]

We are headed back to SXM on March 7, staying at Mont Vernon. Looking forward to the morning walks and seeing the rebuilding after the storm. Mostly looking forward to some OB R&R.
Anyone offer status on the morning au natural beach walks?

Headed home in about six weeks. Yippee!
i was there for 2 weeks. the hurricane was in the middle of our trip. i walked the entire beach up to 8:30 am for most of the 14 days we were there. no problems from anyone.

villa "Joie de Vie" - walk to orient beach, it's just a few steps from the villa.
We have been here since Saturday. There are many nude walkers early each day. Many now carry a suit or cover just in case there is a problem. A few who walked nude in prior years now wear something.
Anyone have a current link to Club O Cam? Curious what to expect of the beach for an April visit.
We head back to Club O March 9, and one of the goals we have is to "walk the beach" in the morning. It is good to hear that and that a pare or sarong will do.

Last time we were there my better half got tangled up with a beach lounge and broke a little toe, then the next day while swimming to Tintamarre she broke the other little toe, thus walking any distance was out.
I think people trying to be cautious usually carry a coverup it shouldn't be necessary to actually wear it.
Can anyone provide a monthly update?

Yeah, and you're also a buff 6'5" tanned man that would scare off a bunch of people! Who'd mess with you?? :) Say hi to "Nan"! :)
Don't know if this helps but we were at ClubO for a cruise-day last week (2/25 I think). We always get there as early as possible. As we arrived, at about 8:45, we saw two couples and a single guy that appeared to be returning from a morning beach walk. They were just north of Pedro's walking toward ClubO and didn't appear to be 'stressed' about anything. They continued to Club O and I meant to ask them about the walk, but missed them while we were getting settled.

I would imagine with the construction going on it has limited the amount of beachgoers on Orient and also the concern with over morning walkers. Can anyone confirm?
we were there in late june. the construction (pictures of which you can see in other parts of the forum posts or in the forum photos from july 2015) is set back from the beach. a fence separates the construction from the sandy walking area along the water. when we went it was still possible to walk the entire length of the beach from club o to mt vernon. the most recent pictures provided by some still seem to show that a space is available on the beach in front of the construction area. that said, i do not know about issues with walking NUDE along the beach. when we were there in june, nude walkers still were present until around 9am as previously stated by others. in fact, with a large portion of the beach now in front of the construction just north of pedro's, it is possible to walk nude a bit further toward mt vernon since there are no businesses or people (other than other walkers) from pedro's to kon tiki. but if your concern is that the passage is blocked, that should be not be an issue. if your concern is that the police are cracking down on nudity "past pedro's," i can't address that. (sorry for the lengthy reply.)
My concern was the latter.

I would think harassing morning walkers would be a lesser priority since there are fewer open businesses.

Looking forward to checking things out next month.
Havn't tried an early walk yet, usually do not get there till around 10. Can say tho that from our vantage point looking N, E, W from Oyster Pond I have seen very limited amounts of sargassum floating by. Two days ago there was a minute amount on thee Club O beach.
Maybe in a few days I'll sneak out early and take a walk up from Pedros.
Bassman, see you on the beach soon.
