So excited - we booked our SXM vacation for the beginning of May - it will be our first trip back since Hurricane Irma - we know it will not be the same, but it will still be our favorite island. Staying at our usual place - Paradise Bungalows - located on the road just above LaPlantation. Hope to see some familiar faces.
Gotta Caribbean soul I can barely control and some Texas hidden here in my heart...(J.B.)

Super! Hope you have a great trip and tell us all about it.! We're thinking of going in December, might stay at Paradise. One factor is whether or not we can use their pool for skinny dipping so would appreciate it if you could find out. Thanks!

B&g, it is exciting isn't it! Our first time back also, but the first of April! We are also hoping to see familiar faces from our same week each year.

Duke of Sands - we have never had an issue using the pool without a suit - we do cover up as we walk down to the pool, since this is a neighborhood with other houses - we just wear a pareo until we get behind the fence.

BerneandGary- OK, thanks. The other place we are considering is Jardin d'O in Mt. Vernon. Have you thought about that place? Farther from the beach but fully naturist I think.

Duke - it is not within our budget - we don't spend enough time in our room to justify the costs - same issue with Club Fantastico.

How much more is Jardin compared to Paradiso? I know Fantastico is the highest by far.

I thought you guys were first part of June people? That's when we are going. We will miss you by a month.

Christa - we usually try to visit over the Memorial Day holiday, which would push us into the first part of June, as hubby does not need to use as many vacation days because of Memorial Day being a day off, but this year we have several things going on the end of May & the beginning of June, plus our wedding anniversary is May 10 & we will get to spend it on the island. Hope to see you again sometime in the future.

So Christa...being a forum legend...you will be there beginning of May? We will as well. Probably won't introduce myself because we're quite private, but I will look for you. We're so anxious to see the ruins/remains of our old Chalets. It's a long walk from Esmeralda, but we are looking forward to seeing the island again after missing a year.

No, not the beginning of May, but the beginning of June. That works best for us. We have done August and July, but the first part of June is the best time for us.
