Club Orient Closure Schedule
August 14 2017 10:51

From what I've read:

Hotel, boutique, Papagayo closed 8/15 to 10/1 for holiday

Perch closed Sept 8 to Sept 30 for renovation

Security, Chair rental & seaweed cleanup open during the whole period.

Figures. We'll be there 9/9 to 9/16 and I was hoping the Perch would be open. Guess I'll need to get a cooler and libations to take there.

You can always park near the Pedro's end, Pedro's dress code is probably not too strict. Also LeSand (next to Dreams in Sandy Ground) and Coco both used to have C.O. areas. Not sure if they still do. Nothing compares to the Perch though.

Wow that is a month and a half. Never known them to be closed for that long, and we have been going down since 2003. Of course that is the most active part of the hurricane season, and it is wise to not make vacation plans to the islands during that time.

Yeah some of the best made plans....Never really thought about the slow season because we are celebrating an anniversary on September 10th and SXM is a place we wanted to explore. Maybe next year we can go at a different time. Seems like a lot of posters like the month of June. Maybe we'll be able to go after Memorial Day.

We've been in June and July and both are good wrt the level of activity and the weather. We'll probably switch back to that time of year next year.

Yes, Pedro's has a relaxed dress code. Years ago, before The Sign, nudity was acceptable. Now I wear a string bottom. Still, some of the boat people and tourists from the other end of the beach seem fascinated to see a nearly naked woman come up from the beach and into the restaurant. Hah, they should walk down to Papagayo's.

As tropicalmomentum said, July is also a good month. We have been several times during July and found it less crowded and with good services still available. Plus the hurricane season hasn't kicked into full swing yet.
