Club orient Questions
May 04 2017 11:13

Hi everyone. Hoping you can help us out. It has been over 5 years since we have been to Orient beach. We know much has changed and we have a few questions. Even though we are not staying at Club Orient, we would like to enjoy a day at the beach there which we have done in the past. Can we bring our own cooler with lunch to the beach? We have heard that there is now a parking fee at Orient, is this true? Are the beach bathroom facilities still available on Club Orient's property for beach goers? And have the rental fees for chairs and umbrellas the same as they were? I believe it was 20 dollars to rent two chairs and an umbrella. Thanks everyone for your help. We look forward to our return this July. Please feel free to reply on the board or to PM us.

You can most definitely bring your cooler and lunch to the beach. There is a parking fee during high season. There are bathrooms both at Papagayo & the Perch Bar. The rental fee is $25 during high season which includes parking. We were last there 18 months ago, so if my info is dated, someone please correct me.

Nothing has changed.... $20 for chair and an umbrella. We stayed in Orient Village last June and parked each day at Club O, no fee. The parking fee must be just during the high season and July is definitely not the high season. You can bring whatever you want to the beach... We always brought our cooler full of beer and snacks. Our beach bag locks to the cooler and beach chairs so we can lock it up while we roam the beach or go for a swim. Enjoy! We will be back in just a few weeks:)

Can anyone tell me if the Club O washers and dryers take quarters or are they free? Be there in 3 weeks.

The washers and dryers are free, but you do need to supply your own detergent which can be purchased at the Club O store.

Does anyone know if the Club O Library is still there? Wife is looking for books in English.

Yes! Club O library is still there and growing. People take and read, return, and also leave behind the books they bring. Sections on the shelves are sorted by language - English, French and German for sure. Mostly fiction and kept in more or less alpha order by author. Happy reading.

We stayed at Club Orient in April and were told that the library had been moved to the Boutique. Evidently they are turning the former library into a rental unit.

News to me, but could indeed be what they're doing. Will be there in 19 days to find out!

I wouldn't be very happy if they put me in that unit. The view is the back of Papagayo.

I saw a shelf full of used books at the Boutique in April, so i think outofthebox is correct.

The Club O FaceBook page has pictures of the new 2 bedroom chalet that used to be the library. Nice looking, but still not sure I'd like to stay in that unit.
