Planning a trip next month, what is the rules from the US, What are the rules for leaving the US and returning and the same for SXM? We usually stayed at the Alamanda, is it still open, What are other hotels do you recommend? Are you safe in Taxis going to and from the airport?

Thanks in advance

Will let you know, but I'm sure it's top notch!

That's interesting. In our relationship I am less shy than my husband, and he isn't very shy. After going to Club O Beach for a number of years, I have no shyness (or modesty) left in me. In fact, I got rid of most of that during our first trip in 2004.

OBH sounds interesting. I well remember Florence from Club O over the years. Those were mighty good years.

Yeah Christa, when we started this journey she was very modest and each trip has gotten less to where now she settles right in. It's enlightening that all are welcome with no judgment.

Ditto here. Our first go at the no tan line world was our 40th anniversary at the remains of the Club O beach. Once my better half got over the apprehension she became very comfortable and actually had us make plans for a second trip only 9 months later but staying in Orient Village so we could spend an entire week at the Club O beach.

Now we have an RV parked at a nudist resort in Lutz, FL which we go to for getaway and before I can get all of the stuff out of the car she is naked and relaxing on the deck!
Funny story deputy. First time staying at Club O my wife was on the patio near the door first thing in the morning of day one, when a maintenance man flew by on a gator. Well she dove into the studio totally forgetting where we were. I just laughed at her as she said natural reaction. bigsmile

Thats our view from 3rd floor balcony great room but I think the ground floor units are great to with a pretty good size place to hang out
Great view. probably better than the ground floors. We will compare in 5 days!

Life's a beach!
We've stayed in both. Love the first floor because of the larger patio, but loved the third for the view and not have to worry some kids will walk by if we didn't have anything on. Next year we might try the second to get the full comparison. Either way, you can't lose. But if Club O ever figures anything out we'll be back there in a heartbeat. As a point of interest, some folks at the beach said they saw Willie at Bikini Beach restaurant. I guess they're back on the island and she has her own pub somewhere on the island. She sure made some strong drinks back in the day.
We stayed on the second floor last year and are booked into the third floor next year. I sure hope Club O figures it out but until this is a great option. I saw lots of familiar faces at the hotel
Just returned from 12 great days on the island. The orient beach hotel was really great had a few issues with water pressure which seams to be an occasional problem for the 25 yrs we have been staying on orient. We had a room on the 3rd floor which was great with a really great view but I think the view from any room would be just as nice the only draw back would be no elevator so if stairs are a problem go for the ground floor which has great space for hanging out outside
It sounds like you can't go wrong no matter which floor your on. I seen Willie's place posted on FB. It is near Hope Estates and is called Jeep and Willie.

Where Is Hope Estates? I have heard the name for years but not sure where it is exactly. Willie is a must stop next year. She was the best the was at the Perch
Hope Estates is the area near the turn to Grand Case, mount Vernon area. I think it is actually called Chez Jeep and Willy's.
