Here in NC, beaches are legally topless if there isn't a local ordinance that goes beyond state law, but very few women are topless. I went to a beach in the National Seashore with a friend. As soon as I told her it was legal to be topless, she took her top off. and spent the day without it.
Lots of guys made conversation with her, offered to let her borrow a boogie board, etc. When our beach umbrella blew away, someone put it back and found her to tell her about it. Seems like lots of people were glad she made that choice.

I can't imagine that I would have walked from our apartment to the beach without a top. But I don't see one in any of the photos. I will have to go back and read the report to see what I said. If I said it, then that's what I did. It's been 3 years now, and I would trust what I said back then over my memory today.

Edit Note: Well now I know why I'm not holding my top in any of the photos: I didn't have one with me. Also know why the workman liked it when I stopped to talk with them, especially when I was wearing the white pareo–I was essentially naked and didn't even know it.

Did you really not know that you were "essentially" nude or were you just teasing the heck out of the boys?

Either way, it wouldn't natter to me! I would just enjoy the view.

I didn't know that my bottom half was bare until I saw the photos. When I put the pareo on, it covered the important parts, but evidently it started riding up when I was going down the steps to the street. Won't be wearing that one anymore, at least not through the Village on the way to the beach. Now I know why the workmen were so friendly, even though some of them couldn't even speak English!

I don't think you should stop wearing that outfit. I think you should wear it every time you leave your accommodations until you figure out how to get it to do what you want it to. Just make sure you let me know when you're leaving so that I can find a reason to be outside my accommodations to start up a very long conversation with you, especially on windy days, LOL!

With the white pareo, it doesn't even need to be windy. It rides up when I walk. But I look down and see fabric, so I think my modesty is protected not knowing everything I own is available for public inspection.

The yellow pareo is the one that is wind sensitive. As there is no wind in the Village, it stays down where it should be. Once I hit the beach is when the wind blows it up, but I'm not concerned about it on the beach.

If I see a Gendarme, while I'm southbound towards Club O (always a southerly breeze), I can pull it down in the front and hold it down until I get past him. Going northbound, I don't worry about it. Went past a Gendarme once at Pedro's with the pareo blown up beyond my waist in the rear, and he didn't do anything except look.

You could probably just tie it around your waist and be OK with the gendarme.

I may be brave, but I'm not that brave. When the white pareo rides up, it might as well be tied at the waist. That's why I said I'm not wearing it through the Village anymore.

No, not a problem on the beach as long as I can pull it down a little in the front if I see a Gendarme, but not something to be worn walking through the Village.

Well, I would never complain if you were walking around the village dressed like that. In fact I'd promote it!

I agree, but that's the sort of thing that caused trouble for Club O. Anytime someone was nude in an unwelcome place, they were assumed to be staying at Club O.

I'm surprised you are the voice of reason on this issue. I would have thought you would be the one to encourage me to get in trouble. As you know, I can get in enough trouble on my own.

I think I have figured out that getting you on the edge of trouble turns you on, but I'm not going to encourage something that could threaten nude use of the beach. Apparently, the big crackdown on nudity outside of Club O started right after a couple dined nude in the village.
