Kakao

I have heard that they are rebuilding Kakao restaurant and bar. Any updates? i read one review that said they are rebuilding way up the beach from their old location. By way up the beach do they mean closer to Bikini or the other direction? Thanks for your help.

Here now and actually walked the beach this morning to check out the progress of Kakao and Kon Tiki. Kakao has been relocated and is now where Waikiki used to be. Looks smaller to me than the old restaurant, but they are certainly trying to keep the old theme. Still a fair bit of work to do - I’ve heard January 1st for an opening - not sure I believe that. Kon Tiki is definitely further along and I could believe it will be open for the new year, if not sooner. Busy day at Club O beach.
