Things to do

We booked for the first week of Dec. Usually one of the highlights is the Tiko Tiko, but its not operating yet- hopefully by Dec. But what other types of excursions/trips/things to do are up and running?

Thanks,
Paul

Most likely, it is too early to plan local trips in December at this time of the year. As the Island reconstructs, more excursions should become available. Your question brought to mind Peggy & Paul's Nude Snorkeling trips. I have not taken them but there are some good reviews from those who did. Their web address is www.nudetrips.net. Their website is quite detailed. This may be one place to start your planning.

We have done several trips nude trips with Peggy & Paul of Captain Alan's, both around the island & to St. Barts - we absolutely love going with them - lots of fun, good food & good drinks, very knowledgeable captain (Paul). Peggy is no longer part of the cruise, as she has moved back to Ohio to care for her parents, but we have taken the cruise with other first mates & they are all very good. If they are up & running their cruises, I highly recommend them. For comparison, we have also done Tiko Tiko, Golden Eagle & Random Wind - all of which are sailboats, compared to Captain Alan's, which is a speedboat.

Gotta Caribbean soul I can barely control and some Texas hidden here in my heart...(J.B.)
While we were on the Island, we heard that Captain Phillipe had sold the Tiko Tiko before the storm, and that it was destroyed. Evidently neither story is accurate. The Tiko Tiko was in dry dock awaiting the storm. It was damaged but not destroyed. Captain Phillipe has now settled with the insurance company, and the boat is being repaired. Here is a photo of the Tiko Tiko after the storm:

The Tiko-Tiko facebook page says that he has received the insurance settlement and repairs are starting.
That's great news!
