First Stay at CO

Staying at Club Orient for the first time. Booked a garden chalet.
I guess I should have asked before booking - but - are there ant down sides to staying in a chalet? Are the A/C sufficient?
Ussually stay in OrientVillage but thought we would support Club Orient.

I have only stayed in a studio, which had plenty of ac. I had heard that there was only ac in the chalet bedrooms and it was a good idea to take a fan to move the cooler air around. We did get to visit someone that was staying in a beach chalet and they seemed pretty nice to me! I'm sure someone will chime in that has stayed in one.

Life's a beach!
We have been going to Club O since 1991 and with the exceptions of this year when we stayed in a Waterfront Chalet and one other year when we stayed in a Mini Suite when they were new, we have always stayed in a Studio (back then none of the Studios had A/C and when the Mini Suites were built they had A/C, so we wanted to try them). We stayed in a Waterfront Chalet this year for the first time and loved it! We really enjoyed having the extra space that you get with a Chalet and of course the location was wonderful! Christa made us aware that not all of the Waterfront Chalets have A/C in the living room/kitchen area and made the suggestion of placing a fan near the bedroom door where the A/C is located to push the cooler air to the living area. I would imagine not all of the Garden Chalets have two A/C units either, but I don't know that for certain. There wasn't a portable fan in the unit we stayed in, so we purchased one from Ace Hardware.

We have stayed in Garden Chalet #53 and it had AC in both the bedroom and Living room. It worked great. There are also ceiling fans in both rooms. We will be there in June in a Garden Chalet again.
We have been staying in the garden chalets for the last 10 years or more. We have been in several of them and all had only one AC in the bedroom. But, that was fine with us as we are quite comfortable with the ceiling fans. We like having the extra room the chalets give us and there are no sounds coming through the paper thin walls like you have in the duplex units.
I may be a bit late in answering your request. I stayed in Garden Chalet #55 a number of years ago. There was air-conditioning only in the bedroom. This made for comfortable sleeping. Its location on the property was away from foot traffic going to the restaurant and traffic by day visitors walking to the beach. I guess the only drawback is that you cannot see the beach. People on the beach cannot see you. The chalet will have everything you need.
