Exit Tax

I believe leaving the island will cost me $30 pp, which is extortianate, however, if I fly to a local Island it's 'only' $10 pp. We are returning to the UK via Aruba so we will only pay $10 pp right ?

If there is an exit tax, it has always been included in our airfare. Never had to pay anything when leaving.
Same experience for me. Flown in and out from and back to the US and the exit tax was always included in my air fare. No worries.
I had to pay an exit tax in 2002, but not on the more recent trip a few year ago. At the time of my last trip, the US Air website still said the tax had to be paid in cash, in Antilles Guilders, so don't believe everything you see on the internet!
Years ago there was a tax window in the old airport terminal where you had to pay an exit tax before going to the departure gates. But, that was many years ago. During all of our recent trips the tax has been included in our airplane tickets.

Our first trip was in 2003 with no tax at departure, but probably paid through the airline ticket, 2002 may have been the last year it was paid separate.
